Network Engineer

As a Network Engineer at Google, you may be a part of the crew that maintains Google’s global community—serving thousands and thousands of users—running reliably and successfully. You’ll make a contribution to the design, deployment, and ongoing operation of big-scale IP networks, even as main automation efforts and proactive incident reaction. 

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Network Lifecycle Management: From design to deployment and optimization of excessive-performance IP networks. 
• Collaborate with Vendors: Work with Cisco, Juniper, Arista, etc., to outline new functions, troubleshoot issues, and implement open configurations.
• Automation & Scaling: Develop tools and scripts to automate provisioning, monitoring, and incident managing, improving reliability and speed.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Assist Google Cloud clients and inner teams by way of diagnosing and resolving connectivity and overall performance troubles. Participate in on-name rotations.
• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Create and keep documentation, runbooks, and training content for improved community operations.

🎓 Qualifications & Skills

Minimum:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent revel in.
• Early-profession: 1+ years with routing and network troubleshooting; Mid-degree: 6+ years of production enjoy with BGP, OSPF, IS‑IS, MPLS, and so on.
• Experience programming or scripting in Python, Go, C, or C++ for automation.
• Hands-on familiarity with system carriers like Cisco, Juniper, Arista.

Preferred:

• Experience designing large-scale dispensed network structures.
• Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIE, or equal know-how.
• Knowledge of Software-Defined Networking (SDN), optical delivery, or organisation statistics center networks.
