Senior Principal Consultant – Senior Cloud Engineer-ITO094899

Genpact has started accepting applications for the position of Senior Principal Consultant – Senior Cloud Engineer. This is basically a mid-level job where 65% of the time one has to be involved with the cloud (AWS) and the rest of the work, i.e,. 35% will be related to networking, with Fortinet, VLAN, firewall management, and hybrid infrastructure being the major areas of work. The new cloud infrastructure has to be directed by the candidate, the credentials being that they must ensure the scalability and security of the cloud. Also, they will be required to work very closely with the senior engineers and the cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• To make AWS infrastructure scalable and reliable, the first step should be to configure it properly, maintain it, and then customize it.
• Create and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IAC) network through devices such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• The use of deployment automation scripts such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash is encouraged.
• In the context of patching and administering Windows and Linux systems, it is highly recommended that organizations comply with their own standards.
• Using monitoring tools like Uptime.com and AD Manager Plus, watch out for potential issues or alerts, and carry out root-cause analysis.
• Oversee Application Continuous Integration/Dotted Continuous Delivery pipelines to be able to release new features inclusively whenever necessary.
• The support role includes functions such as Active Directory and hybrid identity management.
• The professionals have to ensure they are constantly updating the technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and manuals, along with a quality check of the organization’s operational standards.
• Also, they are to take part in the on-call rotations and incident response areas.

Qualifications

• Experts who have strong hands-on cloud and networking experience are highly preferred.
• An adept user of AWS core services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch) must his/her self.
• Terraform or CloudFormation skills magnified in your professional portfolio would greatly help.
• Experience with scripting PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Good understanding of networking basics (DNS, TCP/IP, VPN, VLAN, Routing).
• Experience in the management of Windows/Linux administration and patching.
• Real-life experience setting up Fortinet firewalls and network devices.
• Understanding of cloud security measures and recovery planning.
