Associate Data Steward – Supply Chain

Boeing is looking forward to bringing an Associate Data Steward on board, one who will be part of the Technical Publications team located in Chennai. This position is a great support to Boeing Global Services (BGS). The role mainly focuses on maintaining master and reference data for materials, suppliers, and related objects. The daily work routine is data quality, data governance, and data accessibility across the supply chain.

As a Data Steward, you will be responsible for data creation, correction, and verification, along with solving quality issues, and writing business rules that are to be used by the IT and business teams. The role is also related to data governance, analytics, metadata management, and the rollout of process improvements. The job you will be doing will require the use of SAP, SAP Information Steward, and Informatica. These are the big data management tools. Working with these tools, you can manage large datasets, create dashboards, and most importantly, be compliant with data standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and control master and reference data for the supply chain, which can be used to improve supply chain operations.
• Detail and use business standards as well as business rules for ERP systems such as SAP.
• Involved in the identification of the causes of the data quality issues and the resolution thereof by supporting the system readiness testing function.
• Cooperate with business and IT stakeholders to uncover new data process improvements.
• Help the data governance function by providing support for analytics, dashboards, and reporting.
