Job Description

Tesco is searching for a Financial Accounting expert who will take care of balance sheet reconciliations, P&L processes, and financial close support. This position is occupied by a person who will ensure that everything is accurate, in line with accounting standards, and that time reporting is followed. You will be the person responsible for the content of the topic of accounting and the reconciliation, communicating with the IT and the business teams, providing the necessary documentation for the audits, and helping other team members in their learning process.

Key Responsibilities

  • The Financial Manager is responsible for making the adjustments from the General Ledger to the Subledger and managing the financial close that are in line with the given standards and schedules and TGAP standards.
  • The person concerned should take measures to ensure error-free transactions in finance through the use of the correct accounting principles (Debits/Credits, Control Accounts).
  • Trackers and reconciliations are always supposed to be maintained by you for both their completeness and accuracy.
  • Help to identify accounting issues in association with balance sheet reconciliations and come up with suggestions or solutions.
  • Complete, maintain, and update reconciliation.
  • Responsible as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to answer accounting and reconciliation questions, and coordinate with the IT and business teams for a solution.
  • Help with the internal and external audits.
  • Deliver coaching, training, and communication activities to the team.
