Job Description

Golang Development Engineer Contribute to huge-scale API and backend structures built on Go. You’ll layout, amplify, and keep microservices, information pipelines, and REST/gRPC API layers for Comcast’s marketing, video, or platform engineering organizations. Participation in CI/CD, containerization, and manufacturing help is predicted.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and hold backend services and APIs using Golang, with publicity to gRPC, REST, and microservice structure.
  • Implement data pipelines, scheduling, and excessive-overall overall performance systems managing billions of events each day. 
  • Integrate answers using Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, AWS services (EKS, S3, EC2), and NoSQL/SQL databases (Postgres, Redis, Elasticsearch). 
  • Improve CI/CD frameworks (Git, Jenkins, Terraform), screen device health, and guide incidents (MTTR, logging, metrics).
  • Write and evaluation clean, testable code, together with unit/integration exams, documentation, and take part in design critiques.
  • Mentor junior engineers and lead code/layout discussions.

🎓 Qualifications & Skills

Experience:

  • Entry–Mid Level (Eng 2 / Dev four): ~three–5 years with Go, cloud, boxes, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
  • Senior Engineers: 5–7+ years with Go, microservices, Kubernetes, AWS, and big disbursed systems.

Technical Stack:

  • Golang, with expertise in gRPC/ProtoBuf
  • Cloud & containers: AWS EKS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform
  • Databases & caching: Postgres, Redis, Elasticsearch
  • Monitoring: Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK

Methodologies: CI/CD, Agile/Scrum, DevSecOps, TDD/BDD

Soft Skills: Strong hassle-fixing, verbal exchange, collaboration, and willingness to mentor junior engineers.

💰 Compensation (U.S.)

  • Mid-Senior (FreeWheel/Chicago, Reston): $126K–$190K/year
  • Dev4 entry-mid (Chennai): Salary commensurate with experience.
